So my Sony Vaio was plugged into headphones and I basically tripped and yanked them out, the laptop fell to the floor but the lid was shut so it didn't break too much. Except the plastic around the headphone jack. It kind of collapsed together so I fished the plastic bits out but now headphones won't go into the hole, as its obviously too big and loose. The laptop is 6 months old and I don't remember if it has a warranty and the only way to know is to ask my dad (who brought it for me and he won't be happy) Would it be possible to get this repaired with a warranty or is there no point trying?
Or, does anyone know of a way I can fix it myself?
UPDATE: the headphones will work if I put them in a certain way, should I just leave it as it is?
