    Hi marosh11,

The reference you are quoting is the chassis model from the underside of the notebook that can be shared by several models.

Have a look on the screen surround or above the keyboard for the model number - you may find that it is a PCG-Z1 series.

Given this information we will be able to point you in the right direction...

Go to http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/select-system.pl?model_type_group_id=10 and select your model. Hope you will get some help from here.

    @ KatherineYH,

Please stop linking people to a USA Support site. Unless you are sure that it is a USA model you are just wasting everyones time and testing the patience of those members that are actually here to try and help.

    Hi Marosh,

I take it that you have no sound? Did you install the UAA High Definition Audio Class driver prior to installing the audio driver (you will find this in the Audio folder)?

If this is not the problem can you let us know the Hardware ID of the Multimedia Audio Controller – right click the device and select Properties > Details tab > Hardware Ids (from drop down menu).

You could try running the Microsoft autofix for sound problems assuming that this is a sound problem...
